Pumpkin Patch Adventure - Fall Field Trips

Preschool Tours/Groups:

Attention Teachers!!!

Pumpkin Patch Adventure!
Chiles Peach Orchard in Crozet, Virginia would like to invite your pre-school, day care, or home school group to join us this fall for a hands-on, educational, pumpkin picking experience.   Chiles Peach Orchard is a family owned and operated farm and orchard.  During your trip to the pumpkin patch, you and your students will learn about pollination, irrigation, and harvesting on a working farm.  You can pick your very own pumpkin right from the patch.  Nothing is more fun than to roam a pumpkin field looking for just the right pumpkin.  You can enjoy a scenic wagon ride in the orchard, have an educational story time, and finish the trip off with a refreshing sample cup of apple cider!

Our objective is to provide an enjoyable and educational environment for children to learn about the life cycle of the pumpkin in an age appropriate format.  The entire experience will take approximately 1 ½ - 2 hours.  If you plan to have a picnic lunch, please allow additional time.  Picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Before you leave, stop in our new market for fresh veggies, fruit, jams and jellies, crafts, snacks, and more.
We welcome group of all sizes (groups of less than 10 will be scheduled to combine with other groups.)

Tours are available Monday – Friday during pumpkin harvest season (approximately late September through early November)

Your group will take a hayride through the orchard to the pumpkin patch where you will be able to search and pick your very own special pumpkin.
